GreenPages Opens Enhanced and Expanded ISO9001:2000 Configuration Center
Center director sets goal of tripling previous volumes while continuing to achieve warranty return rate of less than 1%
Kittery, ME—May. 16, 2006—GreenPages, Inc., a leading provider of IT products and services to the small- and mid-sized enterprise market announced today the opening of their new ISO9001:2000 certified advanced configuration center located at 79 Walton Street in Attleboro, MA. It replaces a smaller configuration center which GreenPages acquired via an operational merger with TenCorp, Inc. in April of this year. The new facility is the realization of one phase of GreenPages’ expansion plan relating to the merger, and opened on time and on schedule.
Unlike a traditional warehouse the new center is an "instant network" environment, allowing GreenPages engineers to quickly configure and test any size network device, from the most basic system all the way up to mainframes. The center has the ability to pre-build an entire network including servers, desktops and peripherals. Advanced firewall infrastructure will allow the addition of servers to a client’s domain prior to an onsite installation.
GreenPages’ customers will benefit from the center’s ISO9001:2000 certification status, which is an internationally recognized standard of quality assurance as determined by a third-party auditor. The center is one of only a few of its kind in the United States to achieve this certification. Customers will also experience faster turn-around times and benefit from the expertise of GreenPages’ broadly certified and experienced engineers and technicians. GreenPages is an authorized technology partner of IBM, Lenovo, HP, Cisco, Apple, Dell and most major manufacturers.
The fifteen-thousand square foot center will be headed by Tom Borden, Director of Configuration Services for GreenPages. Mr. Borden stated, "We expect to continue to achieve a less than one percent warranty return rate with the new facility due to our expert staff of engineers and our thorough testing procedures." This quality standard is well below industry average warranty return rates for complex configured systems, which average 7.5 percent.
Last year the company pre-built over 75 networks, configured hundreds of servers and over twenty-thousand systems. The company expects to triple those numbers this year. The center will become operational on Monday May 15th.
